Tan Camoflage Car Seat Covers

February 22nd, 2009

I had a bad experience in a few years ago with my best friend camoflage car seat covers.  It’s so horrible cause the condition was so poor, with dirt on the backseat. It was camoflage in design and the color was not nice, some of the seams on the covers are breaking too. I asked him why he didn’t change his cover? He explained to me that he was given them as a present when he was seventeen by his grandpa.

Car seat covers will give very good performance for your car if the covers have some criteria: good design, good material (fabric or skin), artistic, fit for your seats, good seam, safety.

Good Design
Many car seat covers has some poor design because they produce mass production. With mass production it difficult to control one by one of the produce. It different when you go to specialist or tailor made- they will measure you’re seats in detail and make sure the design will nice and give satisfied to the customer. But now with technology producer can create a mass production with a good pattern design. They use some software and tools like, lectra, micromark, accumark, plotter, and other many tools to create good design.

Good Material
Car seat covers can make from many materials. The popular one is from skin, but this is also expensive one. The other material is from fabric such univelours, cotton, pique, etc. Don’t use material, which can reserve so much dust, it’s not good for health!

I want to talk about the cheaper ones that are good quality. Lets talk about car seat covers from fabric. Usually the fabric laminated by foam, 2mm, 3mm, or 5mm thickness. For central part fabrics made from velour, side part made from Pique with 2mm foam, and back part made from Pique no foam. Back part must made from no foam and stretch to make the covers fit in the seat.

Artistic

It depends on where you buy the covers. As I said some producer cannot guaranteed his covers cause they only concentration in quantity not quality. So we have to clever to choose whether it looks good for our car or not. Artistic can happen from colors fusion, motives, picture, embroidery, logo, artwork, etc.

Fit for your seat
Before we buy covers we have to make sure that the covers is totally fit for our seat. So you must check it in the list of car type. If not you can check by asking to sales person to make demo to your car.

Good Seam
This is most important than the other . Seam quality will establish the old of the covers. Please check it and make sure the seams are perfect and no holes or bad thread are there. Otherwise you’ll disappoint cause after you buy it and sit it, it broken in some area. By the way to attract the consumer some producer give guarantee card with long term – 1 up to 3 years.

Safety
Car seat covers must give Airbag hole in it, some has new technology by sewed the covers by airbag machine. So when something happen likes accident it will prevent us. Usually this airbag seam sewed in the front seat top part and has special symbol or logo on it.
